BEGINNER’S COURSES

The Beginner’s Courses will teach you how to introduce your dog to the exciting sport of dog parkour safely. Both courses cover a range of foundation skills which you and your dog can incorporate into your regular walks together. These same skills can also help to build your dog’s confidence, focus, impulse control and overall fitness.

On the Beginners’ Courses you’ll learn:
  • How to teach your dog a range of parkour skills
  • How to keep your dog safe while performing parkour movements
  • How to develop your own parkour skills
  • How to turn everyday obstacles into fun movement possibilities
  • How to incorporate parkour into your daily walks
  • Best of all, how to have fun with your dog

Equipment needed:
  • A back-clip harness (No anti-pull harnesses please)
  • A fixed-length lead (ideally 1.2 – 1.8 metres/ 4-6 feet long)
  • Lots of treats: a mix of high value ones (such as chicken, liver, cheese, sausage, etc) and lower value (such as kibble or shop-bought treats)
  • Bags of enthusiasm

2-DAY BEGINNER’S COURSE

Over two days you’ll learn a range of parkour foundation skills while out and about in the natural environment.

No previous experience is needed and dogs of all ages and abilities are welcome. All training is reward-based and force-free with class sizes limited to 8 dogs for maximum learning.

Duration: 2 hours per day over two consecutive days.

Total cost for the course: £80 per dog.

5-WEEK BEGINNER’S COURSE

This Parkour beginners’ course comprises of five sessions which take place in a mix of indoor and outside environments.

No previous experience is needed and dogs of all ages and abilities are welcome. All training is reward-based and force-free with class sizes limited to 6 dogs for maximum learning

Duration: 1-hour sessions over five consecutive weeks.

Total cost for this course: £100 per dog (only £20 per session).

5-WEEK NOVICE COURSE

Take your dog’s parkour journey to the next level.

Ideal for dogs and handlers who have completed the Beginner’s Course and want to deepen their understanding of this exciting and fun sport.

This Novice Level course comprises of 5 weekly sessions and costs £100 per dog (only £20 per session).

In this Novice course you’ll learn:
  • How to grow and develop your range of parkour skills
  • How to really start exploring the sport
  • How to build your dog’s confidence
  • How to promote choice and develop better team work
  • More about body mechanics and getting behaviours
Equipment needed:
  • A back-clip harness (No anti-pull harnesses please)
  • A fixed-length lead (ideally 4-6 feet long)
  • Lots of treats: a mix of high value ones (such as chicken, liver, cheese, sausage, etc) and lower value (such as kibble or shop-bought treats)
  • A spirit of adventure
Dogs must be over 18 months of age and have completed the 5-Week Beginner’s Course or 2-Day Beginner’s Workshop.

PARKOUR DOG EXPLORATION HIKES

Join us for an engaging and dynamic parkour hike where you and your dog can explore natural obstacles in a variety of settings and progress with your own parkour journey.  

For those interested in working toward titles, time can be allocated for evaluation or for videoing for assessments. Please let me know at the beginning of the session.

Dogs must be friendly with people as well as other dogs – and be comfortable working in public spaces. All ages are welcome as exercises can be adjusted accordingly.

All dogs attending must have completed the Parkour Dog Beginner’s Course or 2-Day workshop
